"Last of the summer wine rides"
Mid week ride, please speak to Trevor.
Evening Training rides, during the summer.
Dig out the tinsel and put on all your flashing LED lights. For this years Christmas ride.
Now the nights are drawing which is the best way to keep fit over the winter? Well the obvious answer is to de camp to Lanzarote for the duration. But thats probably not that practical for most. So you are faced with two choices dark cold rides or the turbo, even a mention of it makes most riders blood run cold. But you can make it more interesting by breaking up the section or doing intervals and no near death drama's either.
Make sure you are visable. Sounds obvious doesn't it, but you can't over do it. At bare minimum you nead a fashing and a constant light both front and back. Light coloured clothing with refective bands on your arms (for signaling) and on your ankels or shoes. If posible ride with a group. 10 cyclists all with flashing lights really stand out from the other traffic. Try and find a route with as few a hazards as possible, ie junctions and roundabouts. Make sure you keep warm, the temperature can be below freezing in the dark evenings.
